The 50's was known for a car sale increase and again thanks to the age of 'out with the old in with the new'. All the cars were very futuristic and the main selling point was speed and the look. Rockets were used as the main graphic element in advertising, floating or spaceshuttle like.
Cars were also a sign of your social status so advertisers used pictures of people in posh parties.
Probably the greatest advertisement from that era was from Cadilalac.
