Suzannes House. We have yet to discover the blog post in Snask website about the Christmas wishes. Greta full of excitement and enthusiasm jumps around screaming. Suzanne (seemingly calm and untouched by the Grental mood) looks up and words of wisdom come out of her mouth:

-We should do something for Easter!

Greta stops for a second and:

-Yes in deed, we should!

Ideas start filling the room until there is left no space for doubt or concern. WE SHALL HAVE AN IDEA. WE SHALL DO IT NOW.

Happy Easter Snask!

So I sent the video to Fredrik trough Facebook and this was his reaction:

I tweeted the link on Twitter and they re-tweeted it, which is a good sign.

For this small collaboration we didn't need to do much research because I have already know quite a bit about SNASK from reading their book 'Make enemies and gain fans' so when we sudenly thought of the idea it had to happen the next day. The only hard part was to figure out what we might need because there couldn't be spent much time on planing it really required action (as we had three days which already were Easter days. The college facilities were closed due to Bank Holidays so we borrowed Joshes (Suzannes boyfriend) camera. 

PRIMARY RESEARCH.

Me and Thomas decided to go and visit perfume shops in Leeds just because we couldn't go to London that soes not meen we can't do our primary research and find out what emotions belong to what kind of scents.There are four scents, each capturing ahing
different human feeling:
• Scent a: Passion and desire. Sex and
lust. Raw and physical.
• Scent b: Perfect, sublime love. An
interior emotion.
• Scent c: Excitement and fear.
Adrenaline, exhilaration and thrill.
• Scent d: Elegant and dignified. Stormy
yet still

We went into one of the shops in Victoria quarter and asked the ladies which sent would they describe as passion and desire, raw and phisical. They were more than helpfull for each feeling they picked a scent. I am not as good with perfume but Thomas is and he said that he agrees with their choices so we at least got a feel of the scents and what they potentionaly could be. one step closer to being more visual.

All day we walked around perfume shops discussing what stands out and what bottle and package designs we like and why. After that I'm a bit conserned that this collaboration is more likeley to be a disaster. Because me and Thom didin't agree on any of the designs, he liked the ones with modernist style, clean and neat and I suggested more of a experimental, crazy looking packaging. So I'm a bit worried that we might end up not agreeing on our designs.

COLLABORATION BRIEF. THE BEGINNING.

After me an Thomas had the session with Fred in which we had to discuss and sign the partner agreement we realized that we pretty much know each others strengths and weaknesses. Also realized how different we were in ways that we worked in.

We identified that I am strongest at:

Conceptualizing (Which we both are)
Making it happen
Photography
Film
Installations/craft
Craziness

While Thomas:
Organization/Time management
Focused
Type/Layout and Grid (master)
Clean and neat hand-crafting
Web

So we decided to capitalize on our strengths and do the tasks that our in our range of strengths.

I'm still quite concerned on how we are going to manage to work on this together because we are so separate and different, both are quite critical when it comes to design and strong in opinions. I think it's going to be a really interesting collaboration. It's either going to work really well or be an absolute disaster. I like being in this position, that means that we are doing something right. NO MIDDLE.

Now when the perfume packaging brief is chosen, we need to meet up and go to town to do some research, originally we were thinking to go to London but because of the work load and our time-tables - we had cancel the journey to London, some other time.
